Eat With Your Eyes Perfect Burger.

Hey, the sun’s out!

It’s been a long time coming but Summer has finally arrived so here at Eat With Your Eyes we’re dusting off our BBQs. Our fav fix is the good’ol burger.

Rather than flippin’ a shop bought variety, why not create your own?

Our motto is ‘keep it simple’ and ‘quality is everything’. So… use good flavoursome meat, sirloin / chuck steak mix if you can stretch to it (get the butcher to add some fat also), aim for approx. 25% fat in the mix, yes, I know that’s a lot but the end result will be worth it! Chop or coarse mince the steak – the grind as our US friends would call it. Add salt and pepper. Mould into balls of joy, chill for a couple of hours and wack ’em onto a flat metal sheet on the BBQ. This allows you to cook at a high heat without the flames licking the little lovelies and burning them. Flatten the ball to approx. 1” thick or 3/4” better if you can and serve it how you like, why not try a brioche bun for a change.

Don’t forget, keep it simple and always shop local.
